Speed Hound: 2002 Magnacharged and cammed Corvette

Modifications:

This car happens to be our first project car and we continue to perform minor modifications as time allows, or if something really great comes along. A nonintercooled magancharger resides on top of the engine. Melrose headers and a full Random tech 3” exhaust and Random Tech cats expel the spent fumes. A small Comp Cams cam was installed along with their valve springs and push rods. The hood is a Ken Grody piece and was painted by a local airbrush artist. The hood is taller than needed to clear the magnacharger. We did and do this usually because we like to put gauges in the back of the hood. Dakota Digital gauges were used on this car. We had the custom coil pack covers made and painted in order to complement the hood. The calipers were painted black and slotted rotors were added for more visual appeal. The only other modification is a Hurst Pro Billet shifter. The car in its current state makes 460hp and 445 ft/lbs of torque to the rear wheels with only 5.5lbs of boost. This car was featured in Corvette Enthusiast Magazine’s inaugural issue.
